Ajit Kumar Nair is the Founder and Director of
MyMate Limited, a New Zealand technology
company focused on accessibility, inclusion, care and
human-centred digital experiences.
His professional background spans more than three decades
across graphic design, web development and UI/UX design,
together with extensive experience working with vulnerable
and disabled communities in New Zealand public services.
His approach is deliberately simple:
understand the person, understand the problem,
remove unnecessary complexity, and build something useful.
What I Build
My work explores what happens when technology is designed
around the realities of people’s lives rather than around
technology itself.
Through MyMate Limited, this thinking has evolved into a
family of products addressing different aspects of
accessibility, care and communication.
Technology should not ask people to adapt to it.
